Ak Bars concludes the regular championship defeating Traktor

After Admiral’s victory and play-off qualification, the match between Ak Bars and Traktor had no effect on the tournament. It was Chelyabinsk club that did not let Ak Bars to play in the last year’s Gagarin Cup, so Kazan club had a chance to retaliate.

The guest team opened the score on the 6th minute, as Pesonen scored a goal for Ak Bars. Zavarukhin bridged the gap in the start of the second period – 1:1. In the middle of the period, Kuznetsov gave Traktor the advantage, whilst Pesonen scored his second goal this match – 2:2.

Chelyabinsk club could not finish on the up note, as they yielded in the penalty shootout: Burmistrov was the only one who could score. Kazan club won 3:2 to play against Sibir in the first play-off round.
