Veronika Popova won her second individual gold medal in Kazan and achieved the qualifiying standard for the FINA World Championships in Doha (QAT). Other swimmers were not that successful.
Women's 200m backstroke

16-year-old Daria Ustinova not only set the national junior record, but also made the qualifying time for the World Championships. Just like Veronika Popova, she earned her second gold in Kazan.
Men's 200m breaststroke

2. Kirill Prigoda, St. Petersburg - 2:04.76
3. Mikhail Dorin, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast - 2:04.82
All three medallists in the men's 200m breaststroke event reached the World Championships qualifying standard, but only the champion and the runner-up earned spots on the national team. It was Oleg Kostin's second victory in Kazan.
Women's 50m butterfly
1. Rozalia Nasretdinova, Moscow - 25.98
2. Anastasia Lyazeva, St. Petersburg - 26.01
3. Daria Tsvetkova, Altai Krai - 26.08
All three female swimmers did not manage to meet the qualifying time. Nasretdinova beat national record holder Anastasia Lyazeva who touched the pad 0.3 seconds behind.
Men's 400m freestyle
1. Mikhail Polishchuk, Moscow - 3:42.45
2. Alexander Krasnov, Republic of Tatarstan - 3:42.66
3. Yevgeny Kulikov, Moscow - 3:43.79
Mikhail Polishchuk finished two-tenths of a second clear of Alexander Krasnov. Both of them missed out on the World Championships qualifying time.

18-year-old Evgeny Sedov and Sergey Fesikov placed second and third, finishing with the exact same time. Oleg Tikhobaev grabbed gold and achieved the qualifying standard. It's his third victory in Kazan.
