Over 10,000 tickets sold for 2015 FINA World Championships in Kazan

Currently, over 10,000 tickets have been sold for the 2015 FINA World Championships, which will be held in Kazan from 24 July to 9 August 2015, Executive Directorate for Sport Projects Deputy CEO Farid Abdulganiev has communicated at Monday business meeting,

The online sale started 30 September. One can buy tickets for qualifying rounds, semi-finals and finals in four sports: swimming, open water swimming, high-diving and water polo. Tickets for the opening and closing ceremonies will be available in December.

Farid Abdulganiev reminded that about 2,500 athletes and 1,800 officials will visit Kazan during the tournament. As much as 75 medal complements will be drafted in six athletics.

As for volunteers, the deputy CEO noted 2,500 volunteers will be involved in the tournament. To date, 15,000 applications have been received. “It is planned to open in Kazan a center for recruiting and selecting volunteers on 5 December.” Abdulganiev said.
