The women’s 10m platform event kicked off the closing day of the FINA Diving World Series in Kazan. Daria GOVOR failed to qualify through the semifinal finishing fifth in her group. Yulia TIMOSHININA was luckier and managed to squeeze into the final.

In the final round, the Russian diver showed the fourth result with a total of 343.35. A real struggle unfolded for the top spot on the podium between China’s Ruolin CHEN and Meaghan BENFEITO of Canada who eventually snatched victory away from her opponent. There is a good reason why Kazan was chosen to host the FINA World Championships.”
