Budget of Kazan’s preparation for FIFA World Cup 2018 5.5 billion rubles

The total budget for the preparation of Kazan for the FIFA World Cup 2018 is about 5.5 billion rubles, Minister of Youth and Sports of Tatarstan Vladimir Leonov told journalist. Today, a regular meeting of the Republic Organizing Committee Russia 2018 under the leadership of acting President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov was held in Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers.

About 50 percent of this amount is allocated from the federal budget, about 25 percent is from the republic budget, about 25 percent  is extra-budgetary sources.

"This program has been approved and, despite all the rumors, it remained within these limits, there will not be any reduction. We work under this program, there is confidence, we will remain within it," said V. Leonov.
