Pools at the Kazan Arena stadium, where training of athletes and competitions in swimming and synchronized swimming during the FINA World Cup in water sports will be held, have been started to fill with water. It should be recalled that installation of swimming pools was started in the second half of May.
CEO of Executive Directorate of sports projects Azat Kadyrov said that the technology of water treatment during the competitions is adapted in accordance with local regulations. "Quality of water will be fully consistent with the sanitary-epidemiological rules and requirements of stationary pools," A. Kadyrov assured. Circulation and water purification will be conducted continuously for 24 hours. It takes four hours to complete renovation of water.
General Director of the Executive Directorate of sports projects said that swimming pools are supplied by long-term partner of FINA. One of the three pools (on the Kazan-Arena and Arena for water polo) is given for free in the framework of the partnership program with FINA, other two are rented at a specific price. However, the cost of renting was not mentioned.
According to Azat Kadyrov, Kazan-Arena stadium is ready by 75 percent. "For the time remaining, we will gather all the temporary structures," he said. The facility will accommodate 12 thousand people, about eight thousand sits will be allocated to the audience.
"Preparatory work for all objects will be finished soon. We are on schedule," Kadyrov said.
He noted that registration of athletes was completed: more than 2.5 thousand applications from 190 countries have been submitted.
It should be recalled that the 16th FINA World Championships in Aquatics will be held in Kazan from July 24 to August 9.
