Almost 40 athletes from Tatarstan go to South Korea for Universiade

A total of 37 Tatarstan athletes will participate in the World Summer Universiade in South Korea in the Russian national team. It was announced by Head of the summer sports department of the athletic training center under Tatarstan Ministry of Sport Elena Skokova.

According to the source, none of Tatarstan athletes refused to participate in the tournament because of the coronavirus outbreak in the country. Summer Universiade will be held from 4 to 14 of July.

Tatarstan will be represented in basketball, water polo, volleyball, fencing, football, swimming, badminton, tennis, judo, rowing, athletics, clay pigeon shooting, table tennis and taekwondo. The largest representation is in rowing, it is 14 athletes.
