Sergey Shturbabin from Kazan wins gold at World Veterans Judo Championships

Kazanets Sergei Shturbabin won the gold at the World Veterans Judo Championships, which took place in Amsterdam.

Shturbabin won a brilliant victory in the -73 kg category. He has become the strongest among the more than 30 award-winning wrestlers from Japan, Iran, Turkey, Italy, France, the Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Poland and Ukraine.

45-year-old director of the Batyr sports school and head coach of Tatarstan team has been practicing judo since the first form. The victory in the Netherlands has brought Sergei Shturbabin the fifth world championship medal.
