EMWТС 2016: Danish men's and Spanish women’s teams celebrate victories

The beginning of the second competition day at the European Badminton Men’s and Women’s Team Championships went smoothly and without any surprises.

The men’s Group 1 and Group 4 matches and women’s Group 2 matches were played at the Gymnastics Centre during the morning session on Wednesday, February 17. 

The Danish men’s team had no trouble beating Croatia with a 5-0 whitewash. At the moment they have two victories under their belt. Another crystal clear victory was obtained by Turkey in the match against Finland. Scotland easily defeated Team Slovakia while the French male badminton players celebrated a hard-won victory over Sweden. As for the women’s tournament, after suffering a defeat from Bulgaria in yesterday’s match Spain redeemed itself by beating Bulgaria today. For their part, the Bulgarians ended up victorious in the match against Estonia.
