EMWТС 2016: German women’s team tops ‘Group of death’
The final matches of the second competition day have concluded at the European Badminton Men’s and Women’s Team Championships in Kazan.
Group 3 of the women’s team badminton tournament was dubbed the ‘Group of Death’ but this fact didn’t prevent Germany from completing the group stage without a single defeat. After a win over Team France, 4-1, the German badminton players defeated England by the same score. The Russian women’s team also earned a berth in the quarterfinals after knocking off their rivals from Slovakia in the second round of the group stage.
