EMWTC 2016: Russian men’s team upset by Denmark in quarterfinal match

The men’s team quarterfinal matches were played on Friday, February 19, at the European Badminton Men’s and Women’s Team Championships in Kazan.

The Russians suffered a bitter defeat at the hands of the Danish badminton players in the quarterfinal clash. The team, guided by coach Klavdia Mayorova, managed to secure only one victory in the homestand, dropping a disappointing 3-1 loss to Denmark.

Quarterfinal berths were also claimed by England and France, that posted crystal clear wins over Poland and Ukraine consecutively, and also by the Germans who knocked off Sweden by a score of 3-1.
