School named after Ekaterina Gamova founded in Kazan

Volleyball school named after Ekaterina Gamova has been founded. It was announced today at a reporting conference of Tatarstan Volleyball Federation by Head of Tatarstan Presidential Administration, Chairman of Dynamo sport society Asgat Safarov.

"At the request of the Volleyball Federation and Tatarstan Ministry of Youth and Sport, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov decided to establish Volleyball School named after Ekaterina Gamova on the basis of Kazan School of Olympic Reserve,"  Safarov Asgat said.

Ekaterina Gamova has been playing for Dynamo Kazan since 2010. She is the 11-fold champion of Russia, winner of the Champions League (2014), winner of the Club World Cup (2014), double-silver medalist of the Olympic Games (2000, 2004), world champion (2006, 2010) and Europe champion (1999, 2001) with the Russian national team.
