An award of the Russian Ministry of Sports, For Merits in Physical Culture and Sports Development, and a commemorative medal, 90 years of the Dynamo sport society of Tatarstan" were handed volleyball player Ekaterina Gamova by Chairman of the Board of the Dynamo sports society of Tatarstan, Head of Tatarstan Presidential Administration Asgat Safarov.
The ceremony took place in Kazan Kremlin. The event was attended by First Deputy Minister of Youth and Sport of Tatarstan Khalil Shaikhutdinov and Vice President of the Volleyball Federation of Tatarstan Ilham Rakhmatullin, the press service of Tatarstan President reports.
Earlier, the Russian athlete announced her leaving VC Dynamo-Kazan. She has no plans to fully complete the career and is going to take part in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro this summer.
Asgat Safarov said the words of thanks on behalf of Rustam Minnikhanov for her great contribution to sports development in Tatarstan. He stressed that most striking achievements of Dynamo Kazan were associated with her. Volleyball in Tatarstan has gained even more fans and became one of the favorite sports thanks to her bright game and resounding victories of the Kazan club, the Tatartsan Presidential Administration Head thinks. He wished the athlete success and new victories.
