Between 12 and 14 May, the 19th physical culture university festival will take place at Kazan’s Volga Region Academy of Sport and Tourism. Over 350 students, post-graduates and faculty members from 14 universities, established by Russian Sports Ministry, will be participants.
For three days the teams will vie for wining in a multiathlon competition, a sports knowledge quiz Olympic Heritage and creative nomination Sports Hit Parade. Within the festival, the students will be able to take a GTO standards test and demonstrate their scientific and foreign language knowledge as well.
A special programme is envisaged for faculty members who participate in the festival.
Dignitaries will be Russian sports university rectors. The festival will open on 12 May, winners will be awarded during the closing ceremony on 14 May, the Volga Region Sport and Tourism Academy has said.
