More than 240 synchro swimmers to compete at FINA world junior synchronised swimming championships in Kazan

The 15th edition of the FINA World Junior Synchronised Swimming Championships will take place at the Aquatics Palace, Kazan on July 9-13, 2016.

More than 240 synchro swimmers representing 34 countries and 132 team representatives (23 of them are international judges) are expected to come to Kazan for the event. 23 national judges will also officiate at the tournament. 80 volunteers will lend a helping hand to deliver the competition.

Tickets are available for purchase at the ticket agency's website www.zamnoi.ru and at ticket outlets across the city. Ticket price: 50-300 rubles.

The FINA World Junior Synchronised Swimming Championships are held every two years, in even years. In 2014, the tournament took place in Helsinki (FIN). The five-day competition programme features competitions in such events as solo, duet, group, free combination and figure competition.

Entry forms have already been submitted by such nations as Australia, Austria, Belarus, Great Britain, Hungary, Germany, Netherlands, Greece, Israel, Egypt, France, Spain, Italy, Canada, Lichtenstein, Mexico, China, Colombia, Macao, New Zealand, Peru, Russia, Turkey, San-Marino, Singapore, Slovakia, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, USA, Venezuela, France, Switzerland, South Africa, Japan.

The national teams of New Zealand and Lichtenstein already arrived in Kazan on July 2 and started their training sessions at the Aquatics Palace. The Canadian team’s plane landed in the morning of July 4. The Russian national team will arrive in the Tatarstan capital in a few days, on July 7.
