The duet event kicked off Day 1 of the FINA World Junior Synchronised Swimming Championships in Kazan.
Russia’s Veronika KALININA and Darya KULAGINA ended up on the top of the preliminary round table of the junior tournament. The duet earned 90.2333 points. Oya KIRARA/Mashiro YASUNAGA of Japan ranked second, with the Ukrainians Yana NARIEZHNA and Yelyzaveta YAKHNO finishing third.
The duet final will be held on July 12. The FINA World Junior Synchronised Swimming Championships take place at the Aquatics Palace, Kazan from July 9 to 13.
