Tatarstan swimmer Krasnykh qualifies for Olympic finals with fourth time

Tatarstan swimmer Aleksandr Karsnykh has qualified for the finals in the 200 meters freestyle at the Olympic Games in Brazil, R-Sport reports.

After the two semi-finals, Krasnykh showed the fourth result of 1 minute 45.69 seconds Chines Olympic champion Sun Yang gained the best result (1.44,63). The final competition will be held on Monday.

Krasykh said he was glad with his progress at the 200-meter freestyle but he could not forecast his result in the final. "I'm not guessing the outcome. Apparently, the coaching staff has done everything right. I am glad that we managed to improve my time. The final will define everything," Krasnykh said.
