Kazan shooter Mosin promises to retrieve at 2020 Olympics after fail in Rio

Kazan shooter, London Olympics bronze medalist Vasily Mosin gained the thirteenth result in the double trap event. He apologized to fans just after the competition. Mosin’s interview was published by the press service of the Tatarstan Ministry of Sports.

"First of all I want to apologize to those who believed in me, I put all my faith, energy, desire. Unfortunately, dear friends, today I was not able to make my old dream come true. Its implementation has been tracked forward for another four years. I believe that we will succeed in this hunting," Mosin said, alluding that he intended to continue his shooting career at least till the Olympics 2020 in Tokyo.

Commenting on his performance, Kazan shooter could not give an unambiguous reason for the failure. "Most likely, it was about large psychological burden, pressure, sleepless night before qualifying, which resulted in a bad perception of the target against the background that it was very overcast in the morning and even drizzling. I fought, tried as best I could. As they say, I did not specially overshoot," he said.

"Thank you all for believe in me. I hope we'll still win," Mosin said.
