About 300 fighters will meet in the ring at the World Cup in Thai boxing in Kazan

The World Cup in Thai boxing (Muay Thai) will be held on November 22-26 in the Kazan “Basket-Hall”. About 300 of the best fighters of the world will meet in the ring. The arrival of athletes from Thailand, France, Canada and other countries is expected.

International competitions will be the qualifying sports event at the International World Games Association (IWGA), which will be held on July 20-30, 2017 in Wroclaw (Poland).

Singapore and Bangkok also fought for the right to host the World Cup in Thai boxing 2016. As a result, the International Federation of Muaythai Amateur (IFMA) opted for Kazan as a city with a lot of experience in the success hosting of world-class competition. Previous World Cup was held in Thailand.

According to organizers, the event will strengthen the diplomatic relations between the participating countries, will have a cultural and entertainment, spiritual and patriotic character, but also be able to contribute to the development of trade and economic relations.

It is expected that the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand will arrive in the framework of the event to get acquainted with the industrial and investment potential of the Republic of Tatarstan along with heads of national federations of the International Federation of Muaythai Amateur.
