The grabbing Czech-Russian encounter was truly a pearl of the day, and probably of the whole championship. Elizaveta Ludkova and Kristina Kukushkina (Russia) had an edge on their rivals rivals in the first set and had two match points, but they failed to win the game. They lost their second match later this evening.

"We play beach volleyball for 3 or 4 years. Before we used to play indoors. We play it 12 months a year, but don't get tired of it. Our goal is to enter the top 6 to get qualified for the world championship. Everything is well-organised in Kazan. The shuttle buses get us from the hotels to the courts, and the meals are good. Everything is great," shared their impressions the Germans Schieder and Christ.

"It was a tough game and we are pleased to win it. We want to have successful game here in kazan, yet we are not quite conscious of what we are capable of. We don't know much about the rival's level yet. You can tell it in the play off," shared their thoughts the players from the Netherlands.
