Gedikoglu/Gozen - Tóth-Lakits/Tátrai: 2-0 (22:20, 21:7)
The Russian pair Mariia Bocharova and Maria Voronina whitewashed their rivals in all 3 matches they had and secured they berth in the play-off.
"The tournament unfolds well for us, we play consistently and we don't even show our best yet. We're gaining our strenght though and becoming stronger with every set. Our goal is the medals, and we will consistently fight for it. We didn't think about our play-off rivals. You should think about your play and tactics, not about the rivals," the Russian players said.

Zolnercikova/Svobodkova - Moreno/Álvarez M: 0-2 (17:21, 14:21)
Stankevich/Hirzhon - Ludkova/Kukushkina: 0-2 (12:21, 4:21)
The Spanish duet Moreno/Álvarez M advances to play-off from the first place in their group. The Russians Ludkova and Kukushkina gained their play-off berth after beating the Polish Stankevich and Hirzhon. A whitewashing second set featured the game - 21:4.

Schieder/Christ - Bulc/Zdešar: 2-1 (21:17, 14:21, 15:11)
Austin/Bentley - Vieira/Nevot: 1-2 (13:21, 21:15, 12:15).
Not a single pair of this pool managed to avoid at least one fail, which made a final defeat even more vexing. It was the English players Austin and Bentley who didn't continue the pursuit for medals.

Mason/Scampoli-Lysytsia/Dashevska: 2-1 (21:17, 19:21, 15:8)
Calado/Beatriz - Windeleff/Windeleff: 0-2 (16:21, 18:21)
The Italians Mason/Scampoli delivered their third victorious game in the group. The Ukrainians Lysytsia/Dashevska finished second and advanced to the play-off as well.
"Ukraine, Denmark, and Portugal were tough rivals, but we managed to gain an upper hand in out games. The secret to success is the confidence in yourself and team work. Together with my partner we've been plaing for several years already. But we have bigger goals, so the main fights are still ahead us. We haven't checked yet who our next rivals are. It doesn't matter to us. The important is how we will perform. There are no weak teams in the play-off," the Italians said.

Leonidou/Dasha - Aghammamadova/Valiyeva: 2-0 (21:7, 21:10)
Klinger R./Goger - Grosberga/Namike: 2-0 (21:17, 21:13)
The team from Austria Klinger and Goger won all the the matches in their groups and didn't leave any chance to their rivals, finishing the group stage with an overall score difference of 126:68!

Schoon/van Driel - Berntsen/Olimstad: 2-0 (21:16, 21:18)
Sadeiko/Vengerfeldt - Movchan/Andreiuk: 0-2 (16:21, 12:21)
The Russian pair Movchan/Andreiuk secured their berth after a victorious game. The Russians had an obvious edge on the opposing team in the second set.

Klepkou/Matiou - Andersson/Hellvig: 2-0 (21:16, 21:14)
Pantiru/Grigore - Ben Shlomo/Maor: 2-1 (19:21, 21:16, 15:11)
The pair from Greece Klepkou/Matiou showed the best result in the group stage with a final score difference of 126:57.

Gierczynska/Jundzill - Grudzinskaite/Kenstaviciute: 2-0 (21:13, 21:7)
Vuorinen/Prihti - Erteltova/Martakova: 2-1 (16:21, 21:13, 15:11)
"We are pleased with our performance in the group stage. The key games are still to come though. To speak bluntly, our rivals weren't so strong so far. Ith will be way harder in the play-off. We need to pull ourseves together and get ready fot these games. The key match for us was the encounter against team Slovakia so far. For many reasons," the Polish players said.
Round of 24, round of 14 and quarterfinals will take place on August 26, Thursday.
