By the order of Tatarstan's Ministry of Health Care, letters of gratitude were given to Anelia Kirichenko, Aisylu Valeeva, and Aynur Minnekhanov for contributing to the preparation and staging of the Games.
Letters of appreciation signed by the Minister of Youth Affairs, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan were bestowed on Anatoly Pasmurov, Maria Fadeeva, Marat Gilmanov, Rezeda Karimova, Olga Korshunova, Gulnara Minnekhanova, Marat Nizamiev, Denis Salmin, Liliya Bogdanova, Rais Garifullin, and Adelina Yuldasheva.
Diana Galiullina, Polina Krasnoperova, Adelya Fayulina and Anastasia Romanova received letters of commendation, signed by the Mayor of Kazan, for their significant contribution to the city development and active participation in the preparation and staging of the 27th Summer Universiade 2013 in Kazan.
An awards ceremony was held on November 16 in Sochi to acknowledge ex-employees of the Kazan 2013 Executive Directorate who now work in the Sochi 2014 Organising Committee. Minister of Youth Affairs, Sports and Tourism Rafis Burganov and Deputy Director General of the Kazan 2013 Executive Directorate Igor Sivov arrived in the host city of the upcoming Games to recognise and reward members of the Kazan 2013 team with Tatarstan ministries' and Kazan Mayor's awards for contributing to the most successful Summer Universiade in the history of FISU.
A special prize for the contribution to the development of university sports was handed to Russia's Sports Minister Vitaly Mutko.
The Stars of University Sports Gala took place in the Small Hall of the State Kremlin Palace on Friday, November 15. Russia's famous student-athletes will be key figures at the event.
The 27th Summer Universiade, which took place this July in Kazan, has become the major event of the year in the sporting life of the country.
