The friendship that was conceived on the South of our vast country, in Sochi, during the World Festival of Youth and Students in October 2017, became a turning point for the partnership of Kazan Volunteers and one of the most northern region of Russia, the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. The output of the volunteer congress of YaNAO Vertushka showed that the collaboration promises to be eventful and fruitful no matter the distance between the regions.

Day 4 of the European Men’s and Women’s Team Championships in Kazan turned out to be very exciting.
The group stage of the European Men’s and Women’s Team Championships concluded in Kazan on February 15. Tonight the teams occupied their final positions in the qualifying groups and found out who will be their opponents in the quarterfinals. The Russians finished their preliminary round of the European Championships with two confident victories: the women’s team beat the players from Latvia and the men’s team defeated Team Belgium.

Commendation letters for the contribution to the preservation of cultural and historical legacy of the Republic of Tatarstan were handed to four representatives of the Kazan Volunteers movement. Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev personally commended the benefactors at the official ceremony in the Kazan Kremlin.
