"Every start, every record, and every medal for me is a new memory, a new history. The Kazan tournament is great, and the swimming pool is excellent. Why not to claim new medals and set new records here? When an athlet is provided with everything he needs, he shows the best results. Besides, I came to the tournament prepared - I didn't train in vain," said Kolesnikov.
I realize these victories and records represent the hopes for the next progress. People wait for higher speeds, they want me to swim faster, although, it would seem, it couldn't be faster. You mustn't stop working, otherwise you won't achieve much. That is the law of the sport," he added.
