Kazan is fully ready to welcome about 300 competitors from 14 regions to participate in the Russian Synchronised Swimming Championship starting on April 25. The training is over for the Tatarstan team, too. This year two teams represent the republic in the national championship.
Overall 24 synchro swimmers from the republic compete in the national championship this year. Olesya Arkhipova, Mariya Vosmushko, Anna Gordeeva, Adelina Gulieva, Ekaterina Yermakova, Regina Izgarova, Galina Luchsheva, Tatiana Mitrofanova, Tatiana Plotnikova, Alina Tikhomirova, Alyona Boyko and Alexandra Lyutina are included in Tatarstan Team One.
The reserve team of young synchro swimmers, who are all under 18, make up Team Two of Tatarstan. They are Alyona Godina, Ekaterina Yefremova, Elizaveta Zakharova, Diana Kichaeva, Veronika Lukyanova, Zukhra Mavlyavetdinova, Adelya Sarvarova, Regina Ustyzhanina, Diana Khabibullina, Liliya Shaykhrazieva, Alexandra Lasikova and Vitaliya Parepa. The coaches for both teams are Yulia Beloglazova and Alina Rybakova, and Alexander Tyulemanov is their massage therapist.
Thus, in the upcoming national championship Tatarstan is represented in all the events, except for mixed duets. The Russian Synchronised Swimming Championship is held in the Kazan Aquatics Palace from 25 to 27 April. The opening of the tournament, the combination and free team routines, and technical solo are scheduled on Day 1 of the competitions. On April 26, solo synchro swimmers determine the best in the free event, teams and duets perform technical routines. Free duets and mixed duets wrap up the competition programme.
