Sports festival dedicated to Universiade 2013 will take place in Krylia Sovetov Park in Kazan
Activities of the 29th All-Russian Olympic Day will be held in the Krylia Sovetov Park in Kazan on 12 June. The event will be dedicated to the Universiade 2013 that celebrates its 5 years anniversary since its staging and 10 years anniversary since the city had won the right to host the event. Four sports competitions will take place in the park.
The sports programme begins at 9:00 and last till 18:00. Football junior tournament, basketball 3x3 and beach volleyball student tournaments, as well as veterans' chess competitions will be held on this day. The mascot of the Universiade 2013 – Uni the snow leopard – together with artistic groups of Kazan will entertain guests of the event. Spectators will have a chance to win souvenirs when participating in a number of different contests.
The results of the competitions will be announced later in the evening. Winners will receive rewards from honorary guests.
