Twelve days of the FIFA Fan Fest™ are over. The venue near the Kazan Family Centre became the favourite place for thousands of citizens and football lovers from all around the world. Here are some facts about the first days of the FIFA Fan Fest™.
- The FIFA Fan Fest™ was officially opened on 12 June. The venue was operating on 14 June, the day the FIFA World Cup™ kicked off. The same day a new record was set there, not a sport but a cooking one. A huge chack-chack shaped as a football and with a weight of more than 4 tons was not just a simple pride of the venue. It was recognized as the biggest chach-chack in the world.
- The same day the spectators who visited the venue watched the match of Russia and Saudi Arabia on the big screens put at the Fan Fest. The host team defeated their rivals with a score of 5-0. All in all 29 matches were broadcasted during 10 days of the FIFA Fan Fest™. 35 games are yet underway. We recall that the matches take place at 12 stadiums in 11 Russian cities.
- More than 400,000 people visited the FIFA Fan Fest™ in Kazan over 12 days. Every day the FIFA Fan Fest™ welcomes residents of the city and its guests. Fans of Australia and France (they played in Kazan on 16 June), and IR Iran and Spain (the game was held at Kazan Arena) visited the venue since its opening. Fans from Colombia and Poland came to see the match on 25 June. Besides, among other participants of this pageant of football were fans from Brazil, Peru, Germany and other countries.
- The record breaking number of visitors - 56,100 people - came to the FIFA Fan Fest™ on 16 June, the day of the first match in Kazan.
- 220 volunteers are engaged at the FIFA Fan Fest™.
