Main International Centre opens fitness centre

The first lucky visitors who put the new service to the test were volleyball players of the Service Centre and Volunteer Fire Department of the Universiade Village. The training systems were provided by TechnoGym, the world's leading fitness equipment manufacturer, that has been official supplier for the past five editions of the Olympic Games. As Mayor of the Universiade Village reported, the fitness centre will be equipped with one hundred training devices and will be available at Games time for athletes living in the Universiade Village from 7.00am до 11.00pm. Two professional coaches will be on duty here to coordinate the athletes' practice sessions. 

 

The MIC fitness centre is equipped with exercise machines, the number of which, according to TechnoGym's Sales Manager in the Volga Region Federal District, Artyom Kiryakov, are exclusive developments of the company. He specifically mentioned two of them: FLEXability complex, which comprises two unique training systems, and Kinesis Wall, a sleek and functional exercise wall, that allows to do up to 500 exercises on it. Besides, all cardio-vascular machines (treadmills and exercycles) have touchscreen monitors that can be used as a tablet, which means that, while working out, gym goers can check email or surf the web. 

In general, the fitness facility was highly commended by its first visitors and will surely become another useful and pleasant experience that the Universiade Village will be able to offer to its residents.
