Russia's basketball team beats US ahead of Games

Basketball players of the Russian national team posted a confident win over the US team in a warm-up match that took place at Basket Hall, Kazan.

The game ended with a score of 93-67 (27-14, 30-20, 17-16, 19-17). Sergey Karasev scored 17 during the 20 minutes he had been playing on the court and became the top-scorer of the match. The US team captain Like Hancock contributed 18 points in 22 minutes.
Vasily Karasev's team will have its first official match on July 7 against Oman. Its opponents are Ukraine, Estonia, South Korea and Germany.
