Chaukin and Pshenichnikov take gold in coxless pair

On July 8, rowing competitions are held at the 27th World University Summer Universiade in Kazan.

Russian rowers Aleksandr Chaukin and Iurii Pshenichnikov won gold in the men's coxless pair at the Summer Universiade 2013 in Kazan.

Chaukin and Pshenichnikov took the lead and were able to beat Ukraine's men's coxless pair in the final stretch. The result of the Russian athletes - 7:7.84, the Ukrainian - 7:08.60.

The French rowers (7:18.14) got the bronze, R-Sports reports.
