Russian runners capture Universiade gold in 4x400 relay

The Russian women’s athletic team has captured the gold medals of the Kazan Universiade in the 4x400 metre relay.  The Russian national team, including Alena Tamkova, Nadezhda Kotlyarova, Ekaterina Renzhina and Kseniya Ustalova, have timed 3 minutes 26.61 seconds.  Silver went to the Canadian team (3 min. 32.93).  The South African team won bronze (3 min. 36.05).  The athletics tournament finishes on Friday.
