Dyadyun's double helps Russian national football team through to Universiade semifinal

The double performed by forward of Kazan's Rubin Vladimir Dyadyun has helped the Russian national football team get through to the semifinal of the Universiade in Kazan.

In the quarterfinal on Friday, the Russian national team defeated Canada 4:1. Dyadyun opened the score in he 9th minute and doubled the advantage in the 28th minute. In the 46th minute of the game, the Russian team lost one player – Nikita Vasiliev was handed a red card. At the same time, a penalty was awarded against the Russian team which was implemented by Robert Alexander Murphy.

The third goal was scored in the 91st minute by Vladislav Nikiforov. Nikita Bocharov increased the score even further in the 92nd minute. In the semifinal, the Russian team will play the United Kingdom, who beat Ukraine 1:0 in a parallel match on Friday. The only goal was scored from a penalty by Gavin Malin. The second semifinal will be played by the national teams of Japan and France. The matches will be held on 14 July.
