Volleyballer Volvich did not doubt Russian team’s victory at Universiade

During the final the Russians beat the Polish team 3-0.

"Our opponents were serious. Their team was very well prepared. It was not easy. We were well prepared for the Universiade. It was important to set up the match in the right way. From the beginning I was sure we would place first at Kazan, but it was hard to know how difficult it would be,” said Volvich to journalists. Volvich noted the support from fans at the Saint Petersburg Volleyball Centre: “It was very pleasing to see such support. Thank you to the arena, thank you to Kazan. There was gratification. We are all pleased and happy.”
