More awards handed to Universiade organisers in Moscow and Kazan. Part 2
Yet another awards ceremony was held in the Kazan City Hall today to acknowledge the contributions of all those involved in the staging of the 2013 Summer Universiade. The event was attended by Head of the Executive Committee of Kazan, Aleksey Pesoshin. He presented letters of commendation of Kazan, letters of commendation of the Executive Committee and Kazan Mayor's letters of gratitude to the people who have made a significant contribution to the preparation and delivery of the World University Games in Kazan.
"Today we are gathered here to give our thanks to you for the fact that we managed to stage the best Universiade ever," Aleksey Pesoshin said to the audience. "Each of you was clearly and confidently doing your job. Thanks to the Universiade, our city has become more recognisable in the world," he said and wished colleagues good health and continued success.
Among those who were awarded today are employees of the Kazan 2013 Executive Directorate, the Executive Committee of the city, the subordinate authorities, the district administrations, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Tatarstan, personnel of Kazan's sports complexes, healthcare and education workers, as well as staff members of the Old Town prefecture. A list of awardees includes 145 people in total.
