Vitaly Mutko meets with FINA Executive Director

In the course of the meeting, the parties discussed the progress made by the host city in the build-up to the 16th FINA World Championships (July 24-August 9, 2015) and FINA World Masters Championships (August 5-16, 2015). Both executives agreed that preparations for the upcoming sporting events are well on track. It was announced that installation of swimming pools and temporary infrastructure at the Kazan Arena Stadium will be completed in late May 2015. The meeting was also attended by State Secretary and Deputy Minister of Sport of the Russian Federation Natalia Parshikova, Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan Vladimir Leonov, Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan Irek Faizullin, Director General of the Executive Directorate for Sports Projects Azat Kadyrov, President of the All-Russian Swimming Federation Vladimir Salnikov and Joaquin Pujol, Chairman of the FINA Facilities Committee.
