Registration now open for FINA World Master Championship

The FINA World Masters Championships are getting closer as entries for this sporting event become open today, February 17, at the official Kazan 2015 website. As we previously reported, the tournament will be held on August 5-16 and bring together athletes in 14 age groups (from 25 to 100). Up to 6,000 athletes representing 110 countries are expected to take part in the competitions across 5 aquatic disciplines: swimming, open water swimming, synchronised swimming, water polo, diving. The tournament will feature a total of 653 medal events.

Information about the FINA World Masters Championships accreditation process is available via the following link. Please note that personal data should be submitted and confirmed until June 15, 2015 while data on events masters athletes intend to compete in should be submitted and confirmed until July 2, 2015. Accreditation badges can be collected at the Main International Centre (Building 35, Universiade Village) starting August 1. An accreditation badge will be issued upon presentation of the identification document that was used when applying for the accreditation.

Kazan is about to become the first city where the FINA World Masters Championships will be hosted simultenously with the events of the 16th FINA World Championships (July 24-August 9, 2015).
