Russia Sports Minister Vitaly Mutko arrives in Kazan on working visit

Russia Sports Minister Vitaly Mutko, 2015 world aquatics championship organising committee chairman, had earlier in the day arrived in Kazan on a working visit, the President of Tatarstan’s press service said.

At the Kazan international airport he was met by Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, State Council Committee for Economy, Investment and Enterprise Chairman Rafis Burganov, and others.

Over his stay in Kazan Mutko will check the sports venues’ availability for the upcoming world aquatics championship. The minister will also inspect the Volga youth centre, as well as Volga District State Academy of Physical Culture, Sport and Tourism.

Later today, minister Vitaly Mutko and acting Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov will attend a meeting of the world aquatics championship organising committee in Kazan.
