Chechun and Trofimova win Kazan marathon

Winners of the Kazan marathon, which was held on May 11 in the capital of Tatarstan, became known.

The first place among men went to Yuri Chechun. He showed the result of 2:14.10. Dmitry Safronov was the second (2:14.16). The third place went to Fedor Shutov (2:15.38).

Among women, the winner was Sardana Trofimova finished with a time of 2:29.30. The second result in the marathon is 2:31.53 showed by Natalia Sokolova. Third place went to Gulnara Vygovskaya (2:32.22).

It should be recalled that the Championship of Russia was held in the framework of the Kazan Marathon, which was qualifying for the World Championship. The prize fund of the tournament, as previously reported, was 600 thousand rubles, in particular, a winner receives a prize of 100 thousand rubles.
