Russian national diving team roster unveiled for European championships and European Olympic Games

The following divers will travel to Germany for the European Championships:

Men

10m platform: Roman Izmailov/Viktor Minibaev (synchro), Viktor Minibaev and Sergey Nazin (individual)

3m springboard: Evgeny Kuznetsov/Ilia Zakharov (synchro), Evgeny Kuznetsov and Ilia Zakharov (individual)

1m springboard: Evgeny Kuznetsov, Evgeny Novoselov

Women

10m platform: daria Govor, Yulia Timoshinina, Ekaterina Petukhova 

3m springboard: Nadezhda Bazhina, Kristina Ilyinykh

1m springboard: Nadezhda Bazhina, Kristina Ilyinykh 

"I'm going to take a closer look at Govor at the training camp. We will enter her name either for the 1m event or for the platform event. Everything will depend on Katya Petukhova's health. As far as the World Championships are concerned, the roster for them has not been finalised yet. We will have a training camp in June and we will arrive to the decision after that," the head coach of the Russian national team, Oleg Zaitsev, said. 

Meanwhile, the national tournament also helped to determine the roster for the European Games. The core of the team has almost been put together and changes to the roster can be made only due to some unforeseen events or injuries sustained by athletes. 

"Ilia Molchanov and Nikita Nikolaev will compete in the men's synchro 3m springboard event, Alexander Belevtsev and Ilia Molchanov in the men's individual 3m springboard event. We also entered Molchanov's name for the men's 1m springboard, Nikita Schleikher or Nikita Nikolaev are in reserve. Nikita Schleikher will also perform in the platform event. In the women's events, Ekaterina Nekrasova and Maria Polyakova will represent Russia in the 3m springboard, Elena Chernykh and Maria Polyakova in the synchro 3m springboard, Anna Chuynyshena and Yulia Timoshinina in the platform event," said Russia's head coach Oleg Zaitsev.
