Four more companies become Kazan 2015 partners

4 July 2015, Saturday

The signing ceremony was attended by Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan Vladimir Leonov and Director General of the Executive Directorate for Sports Projects Azat Kadyrov.

“Today we signed agreements with four partners at once. And sure enough we are grateful to all companies and their executives for expressing their willingness to join the pool of partners for the 16th FINA World Championships. It’s very important for us. In each partnership category, we are managing to swiftly resolve all organisational issues, which will enable us to deliver the 2015 FINA World Championships to the highest possible standard. We’ve found national partners in all categories and are ready for a high-quality staging of the World Championships. And of course we are pleased that the majority of our partners are domestic companies. We are implementing the import substitution strategy and give domestic brands the opportunity to grow and develop while supporting a major international sporting event,” Azat Kadyrov said after the partnership agreements were signed.

“For ORIMI TRADE Group, it’s already the second sporting event experience in Tatarstan – earlier we served as partners for the 2013 Summer Universiade. And we are very happy to be part of a sporting event again. Why is it important for us? First of all, it’s our demonstration of social responsibility. We see promoting tea as a commitment to healthy lifestyles, development and continuation of national traditions. And the upcoming 16th FINA World Championships fully meet our mission in this context. We are happy that will be able to treat athletes, judges, volunteers and reporters to our wonderful Greenfield tea,” said Maria Drabova, Director for Public Relations at ORIMI TRADE Group.

“It is the first time that Russia’s largest promoter, Kolizey Event Centre, will do such an amount of work in Kazan and Tatarstan. And we are very pleased that we have such an unparalleled project ahead of us. A filming of Comedy Club Russia’s TV show, Aqua Comedy Club, will be held for the first time ever in Kazan. It won’t be just a regular show hosted by residents but a specially created TV show that will be dedicated to the 16th FINA World Championships. And for the first time ever Kazan will be broadcast to such a wide audience of young people through our show on the TNT Channel. It’s our first cooperation and I hope that it won’t be the last one,” said Levon Bakunts, Director General of the Kolizey Event Centre.

“NEFIS company will provide the 16th FINA World Championships with latest products that are produced here, in the Republic of Tatarstan. We always speak in favour of healthy lifestyles, of a healthier nation. And since our products successfully compete with global brands, it is quite normal that they will boost all athletes to perform well,” Mikhail Syrovatsky, PAO Nefis Cosmetics Board Chairman, shared his insights into the importance of  the future cooperation.

The Kazan 2015 partnership programme is an integral part of the preparation for the 16th FINA World Championships. Partners’ involvement in the planning and delivery of the upcoming sporting event is of primary importance in terms of carrying out the obligations undertaken by the Russian Government, Republic of Tatarstan and Kazan Mayor’s Office during the Kazan 2015 bid campaign.

By signing agreements with four more partners, the Executive Directorate for Sports Projects filled quotas across all categories and brought the national partnership programme to a close.
