The key cultural venue of the 2015 FINA World Championships has already opened its doors to its first attendees offering them to enjoy special performances, to engage in entertainment activities and even to win a car.
First opening minutes of the Park have greeted the visitors with fitness workshops provided by one of the Kazan 2015 Partners – the chain of health clubs, Planet Fitness. The visitors will be able to enjoy these activities on a day-to-day basis. Moreover an annual membership to one of the gyms is about to be drawn every day.
The Expo FINA Museum is set up on the premises of FINA Water World Park, there all the visitors can learn about the history of aquatics sports, take some photos in a special photoplace and also leave some wishes to the Championships on the wishboard.
Sports ideas of the forthcoming Championships can also be noticed in the booths of Budapest 2017 and Gwangju 2019 together with the booth of the 2019 Winter Universiade in Krasnoyarsk where 2 medal events will be contested in table curling, air hockey and biathlon.
The large booth of a partner OAO AVTOVAZ offers to race radio controlled cars, to play two games: large-scale dominoes and large sized 15 puzzle, to take part in different types of quizzes. According to the representatives of partner company the main prize is the automobile.
The process of petroleum extraction and raw material processing itself is presented in detail in a booth of another partner Tatneft. A photobooth is also installed there, where first visitors have already taken and printed some photos.
A big entertaining zone is set up specially for kids on the premises of the FINA Water World Park. Children can jump on a trampoline there and play part of the so called builders constructing a small house.
Catering services which present Russian, Tatar, Mari and Chuvash cuisines are organised in the FINA Water World Park. Every corner of it is characterised by certain house decoration, garments and household utensils.
Craftsmen city is worthy of attention as well. It consists of 25 booths where the attendees can get acquainted with the products of folk art and crafts. They also are able to strike a coin themselves, take a photo in the national clothes or attend one of the provided workshops.
Today, on July 24, the Opening Ceremony of the 16th FINA World Championships will be broadcast live on the media façade of the Kazan Arena Stadium, with a fireworks display culminating the celebrations of the opening day.
The FINA Water World Park is situated near the Kazan Arena Stadium and occupies an area of more than 5,000 sq.m. Organisers of the 16th FINA World Championships also provided all visitors with free of charge admission no matter whether they will go to the competitions or not. Two security stations, one in Chistopolskaya Street, another one in Yamasheva Prospekt Street will let all the attendees in. The Park will be open every day from 12:00 to 22:00 up until August 16.
