Tatarstan’s Minister of Youth Affairs and Sport, Vladimir Leonov, has stated that more than 60% of tickets to the FINA World Championships in Kazan have been sold so far.
The 16th FINA World Championships in Kazan got underway yesterday, July 24. The first medal events have been contested today.
“So far more than 60% of tickets have been sold,” Vladimir Leonov told the journalists.
The Minister said that the Kazan 2015 Opening Ceremony, which was held yesterday, seems to have boosted the public’s interest in the competitions: “The Opening Ceremony was a huge success. We can see that it spurred fans’ interest in the World Championships.”
The 16th FINA World Championships will be held in Kazan from July 24 to August 9, 2015
