The regions that expressed their desire to participate in the implementation of the Programme for people over 25 years old (which corresponds to the 6-11 stages of the GTO Programme) in 2016 are the Belgorod Oblast, Vladimir Oblast, Krasnoyarsk Krai, Moscow Oblast, Republic of Karelia, Mari El Republic, Republic of Mordovia, Republic of Tatarstan, Udmurt Republic, Sverdlovsk Oblast, Yaroslavl Oblast, Moscow, Ivanovo Oblast, Kirov Oblast, Kostroma Oblast, Samara Oblast, and Ulyanovsk Oblast. In the near future, agreements for participation in the second stage of implementation of the GTO Programme will be signed with regional authorities. Tests for people over 25 years old in these regions will be first carried out in the trial mode, taking into account the capacity of testing venues.

As was reported earlier, the priority for GTO tests in 2016 has been given to the students of educational institutions of the Russian Federation. According to the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, universities and higher schools have the opportunity to give extra credits to students with the gold GTO badge.
