European badminton u15 championships conclude in Kazan

The European Badminton U15 Championships came to an end in Kazan on February 21.

161 badminton players competed for medals at the tournament. Athletes competed in five events: men’s and women’s singles, men’s and women’s doubles and mixed.

England dominated the men’s tournament. Harry Huang took gold in the singles, and also grabbed gold in the doubles together with Rory Easton. As for the women’s matches, the singles gold went to Denmark’s Mathilde Cramer Ahrens. In the women’s doubles, together with Christine Busch Andreasen she suffered a defeat from Begnisu Ercetin and Zehra Erdem of Turkey. Gold in the mixed event went claimed by Denmark’s Sebastian Grønbjerg and Clara Graversen.
