Day 2 of the Russian Athletics Junior Championships saw junior athletes compete for medals in the men’s and women’s javelin and hammer throw events.
Men. Javelin throw. Final.
1. Danila Danilov (Moscow - Moscow Oblast) – 72.47 m
2. Pyotr Nekiporets (Moscow - Stavropol Krai) - 71.14 m
3. Ilya Evgenyev (Moscow) – 65.70 m
In his very first attempt, Danila Danilov sent the hammer 72.47 m, making this result unbeatable for other rivals.

1. Pavel Kuvyrshin (St. Petersburg ) – 66.55 m
2. Anatoly Shaprinsky (Stavropol Krai) – 64.91 m
3. Boris Bezdolny (Krasnodar Krai) – 64.58 m
Pavel Kuvyrshin grabbed the lead in the javelin throw final and kept it until the end. He showed the best result in the last, sixth attempt.
“I liked everything in Kazan. The stadium is big and beautiful; I enjoyed competing here. The result could have been better. I will strive to be better. I came here to win,” the winner said after the final.

1. Sofia Palkina (Samara Oblast) – 64.00 m
2. Anna Grigoryeva (Moscow) – 59.03 m
3. Anastasia Borodulina (Moscow - Yaroslavl Oblast) – 57.17
Sofia Palkina was the only athlete who threw the hammer over the 60-metre mark, and her first successful attempts left no doubt about who was going to climb the top podium spot.
