Team Russia won the team preliminary round on the first competition day of the FINA World Junior Synchronised Swimming Championships in Kazan. The girls collected 90,6667 points. The team’s roster includes Anastasia ARKHIPOVSKAIA, Mayya GURBANBERDIEVA, Veronika KALININA, Daria KULAGINA, Anna LARKINA, Mariia NEMCHINOVA, Varvara SUBBOTINA, Karina TASHAGADZHIEVA. The teams of China and Japan ranked second and third consecutively.
The team final is scheduled for July 12. The FINA World Junior Synchronised Swimming Championships take place at the Aquatics Palace, Kazan from July 9 to 13. The five-day competition programme features competitions in such events as solo, duet, group, free combination and figure competition.
