The third, final day of the 6th Russia – Country of Sports Forum International Sports Forum wrapped up today in Vladimir Oblast. Russia’s Sport Minister, Vitaly Mutko, took an active part in the forum’s busy programme. To begin with, the Minister had a breakfast meeting with GTO students, i.e. students who had successfully passed tests of the Russian National GTO Health and Fitness Programme (GTO Complex) and had been granted gold GTO badges. The meeting had been initiated by Vitaly Mutko.

During the meeting, Vitaly Mutko expressed hope that GTO students will serve as a powerhouse for promoting the GTO Complex.

As was reported earlier, in accordance with the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation No1147 of 15.10.2015, this year’s school leavers who had earned gold GTO badges has been granted additional points to their Unified State Examination result, which facilitated their enrollment at a university.

The second key event of the day was the plenary session where the Russian Sport Minister summed up the results of the forum, putting some focus on the GTO Complex as well. He informed that the GTO Complex implementation is well underway and picks up speed.

The closing day of the forum ended with the ceremony of signing license agreements between the Directorate for Sports and Social Projects, the organisation responsible for the implementation of the GTO Complex on the federal level, and first official licensees.

The first company that signed the agreement with the Directorate is Dialog-Konversia, a manufacturing company that will produce promotional merchandise and other paraphernalia for the Russian National GTO Health and Fitness Programme.

The second company that became a licensee for the Directorate is GTO Sports Equipment, a company that will provide sports grounds and athletic fields as well as testing grounds for conducting GTO tests.
