Preparations for the FIFA Confederations Cup Draw are going to plan. This was announced today by Alexey Sorokin, CEO of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ Local Organising Committee (LOC), who is in Kazan on a working visit.
"The draw, as you know, will be held on 26 November, so there is not much time left. Today we looked at several venues: these were the Tennis Academy, where the draw itself will be held, the Badminton Centre, where the press centre is located, Kazan City Hall, where the team seminar will be held, and Korston Hotel and Mall. In our opinion, preparation is going smoothly, there are no delays, and today, we do not see any complexities, either," said Alexey Sorokin.
For his part, Minister of Youth Affairs and Sport of the Republic of Tatarstan, Vladimir Leonov, said that Kazan has extensive experience in organising events of this scale. "Today, we also visited transport facilities, discussed logistics and how the volunteers will be working. We have no doubts that everything will be organised at the highest level," said the Minister.
