WCF president Kate Caithness gives thumbs up to organisers of world mixed curling championship in Kazan

President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, had a meeting with President of the World Curling Federation (WCF), Kate Caithness.

Aide to the Tatarstan President Leyla Fazleeva, Tatarstan’s Minister of Youth Affairs and Sport Vladimir Leonov, President of the Russian Curling Federation (RCF) Dmitry Svischev and other officials were also present during the meeting that took place at the Tatarstan Government House.

The 2016 World Mixed Curling Championship is being held from October 14 to 22 at the Sport Palace in Kazan. As many as 185 athletes and officials from 37 countries arrived in the Tatarstan capital for the tournament. 10 international and over 30 national technical officials are working at the event.

Kate Caithness mentioned the top-class organisation of the championship and thanked the Tatarstan President for his strong contribution to the preparation and delivery of the event.
