RSCSC2016: Penultimate competition day ends with St Petersburg team’s victory in mixed medley relay

The fourth competition day of the Russian Short Course Swimming Championship wrapped up with the mixed medley relay event.

In the women’s 200m individual medley, Anastasia Osipenko of the Krasnoyarsl Krai clocked 2:11.14 to win the top spot on the podium. Irina Shvaeva of Saint Petersburg finished second (2:11.25) with Kristina Vershinina (Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug) settling for the third place with 2:12.49.

The mixed 4x50m freestyle medley relay concluded the programme of the penultimate competition day. The St Petersburg team made of Oleg Tikhobaev, Alexander Popkov, Daria Kartashova and Daria Ustinova celebrated victory after finishing the race with 1:31.75. Silver was claimed by Natalia Lovtsova, Arina Surkova, Dmitry Lapshin and Alexander Klyukin, who clocked the second best time, 1:32.48. The Moscow team composed of Kliment Kolesnikov, Vladislav Grinyov, Anastasia Serpionova and Rozalia Nasretdinova finished third with 1:32.68.
